Please note these deadlines for CBIRD's FY27 funding opportunities and key events:
- Pilot Awards - Letters of Intent (LOI) due December 9, 2026; full applications due January 20, 2027
- Partnership & Engagement Grants (PEG) - due January 20, 2027
- Summer Undergraduate Research Fellowships (SURF) - open December 1, 2026; applications due January 15, 2027
- Action Potential Grants (APG) - open now with rolling deadlines
- CBIRD Research Day - March 31 - April 2, 2027
Funding
- FY27 Soter Summit Award
This award will provide up to $250,000 over three years to support an innovative team science project that generates preliminary data for future extramural funding opportunities and/or national center grants. Special consideration will be given to projects addressing stress, pregnancy, cardiovascular health, cancer, and menopause/midlife. Please see the RFA for details. Applications due December 18. - Ohio Brain Injury Summit - seeking student presentations!
CBIRD is working with the Brain Injury Association of Ohio to host 2 student talks at the upcoming Ohio Brain Injury Summit on December 11 at 3:45pm for an audience of Ohio rehabilitation therapists, social workers, nurses, psychologists, and brain injury survivors. If you are interested to present, please email hiremath.7@osu.edu with your proposed title and brief summary of the research topic by November 6, 2026.
- Soter Women’s Health Research Symposium

- Neuroscience Research Institute (NRI) – 2026 Annual Retreat

This year's theme, “Nutrition and Chronic Disease Across the Translational Cycle: Connecting Crops, Clinics and Communities,” explores how innovations in food and nutrition science are transforming health across the translational spectrum. - Ohio Brain Injury Summit

- TACH2F Recovery Seminar: Creating an Accessible Recovery Toolbox for High-Stress Populations

This interactive seminar from the Human Performance Collaborative (HPC) will combine expert-led presentations with hands-on learning opportunities, allowing participants to explore practical recovery strategies and engage with a variety of recovery modalities in an experiential environment. - TDAI Autumn 2026 Workshops
October – December | Pomerene Hall, Room 350
TDAI is excited to offer a new round of hands-on workshops designed to help Ohio State researchers integrate cutting-edge AI tools into their scholarly work. Each workshop runs over five consecutive days with two hours of instruction per day — practical, Python-based sessions you can apply directly to your own research.
