CBI is hosting workshops about AI for Brain Injury Research. Session 1 is on Friday,October 17 at 10:00am in The James, Room L045 (Gabbe) and will feature available OSU AI resources, research lightning talks, and group discussion.   • CTSI Faculty Career Development Grants

The Clinical and Translational Science Institute offers the Path to K Grant, and the K12 Mentored Career Development Grant. Both are accepting letters of intent now, due October 15 and 16, respectively. For more info and to access the RFAs, visit here.

 

  • CTSI Spark Awards

The Clinical and Translational Science Institute’s Spark Awards are designed to support early stage research for investigators and collaborative teams. Awards of $3,000 – 5,000 are available – visit here to learn more and apply!

 

  • Gut-Brain Signaling - NIEHS Forecasted Opportunity

The NIEHS will soon release a funding opportunity on the gut microbiome–brain axis, aiming to improve detection, prevention, and interventions for environmentally induced neurological diseases. The NOFO is expected to post on October 27, 2025. Because solicitations have short turnaround times, interested researchers are encouraged to start developing teams and ideas early.   • The Human Performance Collaborative & Starlab – “Exploring Research Opportunities in Human Health and Performance in Space”

  • National Association of State Head Injury Administrators – State of the States in Brain Injury Conference

October 27-30 | Portland, Maine

NASHIA's 2025 State of the States in Brain Injury Conference (SOS 2025) is in-person in Portland, Maine! This year's event will showcase two half-day intensives dedicated to Long-Term Services & Supports and Children & Youth, while the main conference will feature the same great content that you know and love with the addition of two specialized tracks on the Criminal Legal System and Brain Injury, and Behavioral Health. CBI will be represented at this conference, and any researchers or trainees interested in attending are welcome to partner with us to support national research efforts!
